Your role

As Legal Counsel at Tradevest, you report directly to the Management Board. You are not merely an administrator, but the strategic architect of our legal and governance structures as we scale internationally. You are the central point of contact for all legal and governance matters across the Group, acting as a strategic sparring partner for the Management Board and Product Development to ensure our innovative trading solutions are legally sound. You accompany Tradevest on its path as a pioneer in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Your mission and responsibilities

  • Legal support for product development (Artificial Intelligence, securities trading, tokenization, crypto trading, payments) and resolution of complex regulatory law matters.
  • Leading and overseeing all corporate governance matters within the corporate group.
  • Managing and coordinating external law firms on special projects and litigation proceedings.
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, such as WpIG, KWG, MiFID II, and MiCA.
  • Structuring and negotiating international contracts with institutional and private clients as well as service providers.
  • Monitoring regulatory and legislative developments (securities, capital markets, banking, and corporate law), including proactive communication within the organization.

Your qualifications and experience

  • Fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d) with relevant experience in the financial services sector.
  • Strong practical knowledge of securities, capital markets, banking, and corporate law.
  • Solid expertise in contract law, with the ability to draft contracts for which no templates yet exist.
  • Experience managing external legal counsel.
  • Strong understanding of FinTech products and the ability to solve and explain complex matters pragmatically.
  • Ability not only to identify legal risks, but to proactively present solutions as a sparring partner for product development.
  • Enabling innovation rather than holding it back.
  • Independent and proactive way of working.
  • Willingness to also work into other areas of law.
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
